Rin Peisert is an American interdisciplinary and performance artist based in Shanghai. She has presented her performances, interventions, and sound works in museums, galleries, festivals, in public squares, live streaming online, busy streets, demolition sites, and underground bomb shelters in North America and Asia.

She is a founding member of Shanghai's performance art collective, FUPA which performs publicly, is an initiative for performance events, and hosts a monthly live art salon as a platform for discourse and experimentation.

Most recently, Rin's actions have taken the form of public intervention. She explores themes of nationalism, censorship, and perception of cultural identity regarding value and interpersonal relationship.

Her work in China lies in the area of site-sensitive performance and working within cross-cultural contexts as she explores making work within a climate of strict government control and censorship.
