Metal has electrons freely floating around the surface of metal elements. This called the "electron sea". When electrons move from one end of a metal to the other end the movement is called electrical current, what we think of as electricity. An effect of electrical current is the induction of a magnetic field spinning like the hands of a clock around the wire. So if you were looking at the wire from the source of the current and the wire appeared as a circle the magnet field would spin clockwise around the wire. Consider that on the left of the wire the magnet field is spinning up (moving from 6 to 12) and on the right the mag field is moving down (12 to 6). Now imagine wrapping/coiling a wire clockwise into the shape of a ring. This will result in a downward magnet field inside the ring. The more coils of wire the more the magnet field as each coil produces a field creating an additive effect. If the coil is placed within a magnet field the magnetism produced by the current in the coil will interact with the mag field and the force will cause the coil to spin.

More importantly this cab work in reverse. If the coil is spun using mechanical energy by an external force a resulting electrical current will be produced in the coil. This is how ALL non solar electricity is produced! Wind milll spins coil, falling water of a dam spins coil, coal burns-water heats-steam rises-spins coil, nuclear energy-water heats.....

All the electricity that we comes from spinning circles
